Felting Class

I taught a felting class last Saturday. I had nine students. In the morning, I decided to take them through several different methods of felt making. The first project was a felt bead, followed by flat felt. I had them divide into groups and make three "pre-felts" for later flower making. I also demonstrated nuno felting onto a silk scarf and needle felting.

After lunch, they designed their own projects. Some were very happy to make beads for the rest of the afternoon. Several made scarves and felt flowers. One very creative student made a scarf, purse and several cuffs. All in all, I think that they had a good time and learned a lot. I was very inspired by several of their projects.
